2. Parties and covered asset
This license is issued by DSIV Music for the specific DSIV track identified in the applicable order or written clearance. The licensed asset is the purchased track and exact version named in that record. A preview, product-page summary, guide, or catalog listing is not a substitute for the identified track and version.
3. Grant
Subject to the order and this license, DSIV Music grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to synchronize the identified track with one identified completed project in the approved use described at purchase.
The initial permitted territory is the United States and Canada. The permission does not extend to another territory, project, media use, client, campaign, or paid placement unless the applicable order or separate written clearance expressly says so.
The permission does not transfer ownership of the master recording, composition, songwriting, publishing, artwork, source files, or any other intellectual-property interest.
4. Included creator uses
Unless the order or written clearance states otherwise, the included creator use is the purchaser's own completed creative project, including a music video, reel, stream, short film, podcast, artist promotion, or similar digital release, published through the purchaser's own or controlled channels.
Monetized posts on the purchaser's own or controlled creator channels are included when the project otherwise fits this section. The purchaser may make ordinary project-fit edits such as timing changes, fades, level changes, and looping needed to fit the approved edit.
Collaborators may access the track only as needed to complete the approved project. They may not reuse, redistribute, resell, or place the source file in a shared library.
5. Uses requiring separate clearance
The following uses are outside this Creator License unless DSIV Music provides separate written clearance:
- Client, brand, sponsor, or agency work where another party is the project owner or license holder.
- Paid advertising, paid media, or sponsored placement.
- Broadcast, film, television, games, applications, trailers, theatrical use, or other commercial synchronization.
- Political advertising, sensitive-category use, or a use that could reasonably imply DSIV Music's endorsement.
- A new edit, campaign, project, territory, client, or media use outside the approved project.
- Resale products, sample packs, music libraries, templates, stock assets, or downloadable project files containing the track.
- Any exclusive, buyout, ownership-transfer, or work-made-for-hire arrangement.
Client work is not automatically included. A clearance for client work should identify the purchaser, client, project, media, territory, term, paid-placement status, delivery scope, and any permitted client handoff. Source files are not transferred unless a separate written agreement expressly says so.
6. Prohibited actions
The purchaser may not:
- Sell, sublicense, assign, rent, lend, or transfer the license.
- Upload the source file to a public library, stock service, sample service, or repository.
- Distribute the source file or an isolated stem as a standalone asset.
- Register the track with Content ID, a platform fingerprinting service, or a similar rights-claim system without prior written approval.
- Claim ownership of the track, composition, songwriting, publishing, or master recording.
- Create or distribute a replacement, imitation, or derivative library intended to substitute for the DSIV asset.
- Use the track in a way that violates applicable law or the applicable platform's rules.
Remixing, re-recording, or materially transforming the track requires written approval. Project-fit timing, fades, levels, and looping do not by themselves constitute a remix.
7. AI-assisted projects and model use
Finished projects that use the licensed DSIV track with AI-assisted editing, compositing, generation, or post-production are permitted when the underlying project use is permitted by this license.
The purchaser may not use the DSIV track, stems, source files, artwork, metadata, or delivered materials for:
- Model training, fine-tuning, datasets, or dataset curation.
- Benchmarking, indexing, extraction, source separation, or automated cataloging intended to reproduce or replace the asset.
- Voice cloning, style cloning, sound-alike generation, or a workflow intended to generate a replacement for the DSIV asset.
- Any tool or service that grants itself broad reuse, training, or redistribution rights over uploaded source materials, unless DSIV Music gives prior written permission.
This section governs use of DSIV materials. It does not grant rights to third-party tools, models, performers, brands, or other material used in the purchaser's project.
8. Ownership, credit, and reporting
DSIV Music or the identified rights holder retains the master, composition, songwriting, publishing, artwork, and source-file rights unless a separate signed agreement expressly states otherwise.
Credit is requested when practical and when the project format provides credits. For broadcast or synchronization uses cleared separately, the purchaser must provide cue-sheet or reporting information when the project or applicable platform requires it.
Nothing in this license prevents DSIV Music from collecting its own rights, royalty, or performance data or from enforcing its ownership. The purchaser must promptly notify DSIV Music of a claim, takedown, or ownership conflict involving the licensed track.
9. Delivery and support
Digital delivery is provided through the delivery method shown at checkout or in the order record. The purchaser should report a missing link, damaged file, incorrect file, duplicate purchase, or other delivery problem within 14 days of the order or delivery notice, with the order number and a description of the problem.
DSIV Music will first attempt to provide technical help, a corrected link, redelivery, replacement, or correction. A refund may be considered when DSIV Music cannot supply the purchased product, a duplicate charge or purchase is verified, or applicable law requires a refund. This remedy process is subject to non-waivable consumer rights.
Contact and support instructions are the instructions shown in the order, delivery message, or current DSIV Music support channel.
10. Changes in project scope
The purchaser must contact DSIV Music before using the track for a new project, different client, new territory, paid placement, new media, or other use outside this license. DSIV Music may issue a separate quote or written clearance rather than expanding this license.
11. Termination and enforcement
The permission ends if the purchaser materially breaches this license and does not stop the prohibited use after notice. On termination, the purchaser must stop new use, remove the track from unapproved uses where reasonably possible, and delete or secure source copies except where retention is required by law or an order record.
Termination does not limit DSIV Music's right to seek available remedies for unauthorized use. A permitted completed project is not expanded by later changes to the storefront or policy pages.
12. Version and precedence
The license version presented with and associated with an order is the version identified for that order. DSIV Music retains that version and its hash with the order record when this license is offered.
The precedence order is:
- A signed, negotiated agreement for the specific transaction.
- The versioned terms presented with and associated with the order at the time of purchase.
- The identical versioned license delivered with the purchase.
- The complete versioned policy incorporated into those terms.
- Product summaries and guides, which explain but do not add or reduce rights.
DSIV Music will not apply a later version retroactively to reduce rights already granted. A later version must receive its own version number and date.
